Erraka looked into the boiling water and could not believe that it was true. Scrying always was a taxing effort but try as she might she could not find a single snow elf alive in the city of elves. She knew this was the work of her son, she felt it and yet still she could not believe. The elves had for generations been the strongest most powerful creatures in the north. She did not believe that they were all gone but knew enough of them had been destroyed that the balance of power in the north was shifting. She regretted that she could not feast upon the blood of the king of the elves, but was so filled with joy she could not express her joy and pride.
Wiping the blood tears from her eyes she called for her blood maiden.
"Fetch me Goremax, the true born king has returned!"

Count me in. If DM's need a break, I could run a one-time session with the merchants/ pirates on the 13th.

Meggabarrow Clinched his enormous green fist in anger and frustration. The Drow long dead danced before him as they did when he tried to amuse himself. The first few years of his hundred years of service had gone smoothly enough The Drow trickled in by the hoards and he was able to play with them… but after a few years They had learned of Meggabarrow’s power and sent him nothing more to play with. For twenty two years he sat alone in the darkness with his puppets attempting to figure a way out his embarrassing situation. The Drow gave up and he gathered that there was some sort of guardian near the entrance to prohibit his puppets from getting out. Perhaps if someone would come…. Perhaps he could break the binds that held him. Until then he was bored.

Apr 4, 2014 20:15:13 GMT -4 Harkker said: Well let me throw this out there... I am not saying we should cancel the campaign or anything. But it feels like asking people to carve out two nights a month is difficult. I know ed and lady star started a new job in which they get up early and kakaderm can only play some sundays. Xalaram disappeared in the middle of a session and hasnt been back. uthganyon like myself has been working all over. Which brings up myself, I have been working 6 days a week now since octobor and it looks like that will continue until June. Wbjoe started a new job and has been working. Really the only consistent one is stingray, and probably Oak. I like this camapign and I have plans for each character and a long standing story arc which is why I set a 5 year limit on the campaign itself. I knew that it was going to be a long time thing.
The only strain I have on a bouncing rotation is that it makes it more difficult to personalize things... Everytime we play I have a general formula that I like to use and I don't mind sharing. I take two to four characters and think of roleplaying situation that suits them. (Someone calling jibb a half breed, malekith's wife and kid, Tyrial's grandfather)I generally have a first half of the night event and a second half of the night for those that are either early or late.
Things in town do not get fixed unless some posts about it or does something in game. If I plan for an event that will have some meaning for a player and that player doesnt show then it sort of leaves a gap.
I am sure that Xalaram's mom being revealed as the winter witch would have had more importance if Xalaram did not have to go right before hand.
As long as there are at least four players there is enough to work with... but when there are but two or three it makes it harder to scale combat wise and plot wise.
Also it should be pointed out that Uthganyons machine is so much better than what we had before and it would be possible to have two dms going at once when we have a cool event in the future.
I am not in anyway complaining at all. I myself and rather busy but I think it would be best instead of playing every two weeks to have kakaderm and uthganyon tell us when they wants to play and then work around that. kakaderm goes out of his way the most to make it.
even if it means we only play once a month... beyond that we can have secondary dms or just pick a dungeon and play it every so often...
so
Guys I dont want to be holding up the story lines... as much as I selfishly want everything to wait for me to be involved because it is so cool, its not fair to you guys to work around my schedule (of which there is not always rhyme or reason to.) Even if im not scheduled to work or have family events going on- I could say sure I'll be at the next sundays session, but then I get called in to work after 15 min of playing because all hell broke lose. I have been interviewing for some different positions lately and will continue to if I dont get the position(s) right away... so hopefully stability is on the horizon.
As far as Thel Dinge- I have gotten Tsaroth to level 5 killing goblins, wyrmlings, etc (I plan to get a story submitted one of these days) so he now can use wildshape. So given that nothing is realistically stopping him from flying or swimming out of the Dinge, perhaps he can be "released" from it, and when I can make it to events he will return from his missions elsewhere (and Dm can port him in as if he flew in.) Perhaps he is working in the service of his goddess, or maybe he is looking for clues about or spying on the evil King. I 'll leave that up to you guys, and just release some story updates to fit. Maybe if there is an "average level" posted after a session I can try to keep Tsaroth around that same level and not too high or too low.
Though I think he would make a cool looking Thane or "Druid King" (with the stag skull helm and all ;-) I dont think its really in his character to actually recieve the title anyway. So Im not concerned with that, so he can give his seat to someone else, or maybe we can be totally original and he'll send a crow that will deliver scrolls back and forth to communicate with the other thanes on issues that come up.
I also realize it may not be fair to others to let my character leave just because he has an ability, other classes have their own means of travel, so I understand if you want to keep him locked to TD. I'm just trying to come up with a way he can still be involved, I can still have fun playing him when I have time, and let you guys enjoy the campaign on whatever days work for you. I have been and will continue to read about what has happened on the boards, so I know whats going on when I hopefully return as a main player.
Anyway, I am not going anywhere, and I dont mind the server maintenence (its my priveledge really) I just wont be playing a lot... there has always been ebbs and flows to my NWN time through the years but I have been playing since its release and will continue to play unless bioware themselves somehow gets licensed to develop its true successor. And now that I found Karador, I'm truly home.

I'll try to post my transcripts even if I don't have the time to edit them with all the extra crap like time stamps and all so you and others can read what you missed.

This sunday will be a go, all else fails... but perhaps it will be time to take a break from the campaign and do a tour of module conversions until such time as we can find some good times for all to play.

I suppose I should Point out that neither of the two extra sessions by oak and earthdreamer have in any way changed the plot... well earthdreamer's did bust down the main gate and no one has bothered to fix it yet.
