Environmental Rules Swimming underwater - Unless the creature has the ability to breathe underwater (either through a feat or enchantment) they run the risk of drowning underwater. A character can hold his breath a number of rounds equal to his constitution score after that he loses a 1/3rd of his hit points each turn.
Lava - Lava and fire damage with damage any creature who happens to step into it. The Damage taken varies depending on the size of the fire, and or the intensity of the Lava.
Hypothermia - Really cold areas or Freezing water can cause characters to develop Hypothermia. Hypothermia can be avoided by those protected from cold either through feats or enchantment.
