I have an idea for time travel territories based on a mess-up Oak did.
You know the pirate area Oak modified for that adventure involving the witches and guy in a cell? When I enter that area, it is the area Oak made for that adventure but when I enter then leave the captain's hold room on the big ship, something odd happens. Instead of my returning to the area Oak made, I end up in the original area before Oak modified it.
But this gave me an interesting idea.
If we wanted to, we could set up magic pylons (like the black gate ones scattered around Karador) and have them transition you to the same area you are currently in but maybe, say, 100 years in the past. Another pylon there will return you to the present time period. We could adventure in the same area but 2 different time periods. Perhaps maybe even more time periods too. I also got the idea from the old Might and Magic games where you would be transported to the past to complete quests.
Just don't go into time altering situations because there is no way to account for that stuff. That is, unless we go into the future, then it wouldn't matter at all because modifying the future would not mess with current Karador.
What does anyone think?

When we were going to do a good vs evil camapign like the one you suggested, it was going to be a time travel adventure. the evil party finds the bones of Kronos or ptah the god of time and they use that to go back and destroy the modern day world... then we switch to the good side of things and find them in a resistance of sorts in the warped present. another god decides to intervene and he actively sends them back to fix things. it was going to end at a climatic battle over the dead gods bones. sort of a quatuam leap story... but then I thought of how much I would have to change the existing world and opted for thel dinge instead.

I wasn't thinking of a massive scale but individual territories so that instead of expanding outward with new areas, some could be made that are different within the same area, just a different time period. Basically for regular, non-DMed, adventuring.
