Characters risk infection with vile diseases at every turn. It adds flavor, worry and the excitement that comes from the unexpected.
Curses: Karador has a unique system developed by which characters can become cursed. Curses are for more than temporary attribute reduction. Curses last until removed and can be everything for narcolepsy to the dreaded curse of the four winds which periodically sweeps the victim up and deposits him at strange locations.
