A Letter delivered from the battle fields of Alatariel.
Kyrian,
Long have I heard of your various exploits while traveling the roads of Lomar. I have heard in my various travels that you have been ordained to form an order. I have no doubt that such an honorable duty consumes your everyday now and wished to offer you any assistance that I can. Dark times have fallen upon the kingdom and darker times are still yet to come. The prophecies I have heard proclaimed state that somewhere in the land a usurper has been born, he who will over throw the king himself. I myself have found that even the mightiest of us is being stretched thin and your order stands forth as a possible beacon of hope to the pending onslaught of darkness.
As an appointed and titled “Champion” of Avar I have dedicated myself to Avar’s divine will. The King has appointed me his Thane, and I have commanded the Dogfaces through many a stalwart battle hoping that someone would marshal the forces in the land. I am a founding member of the knights of the order of Dragon’s blood, whose cause is to fight justly without cost or consequence. I do not boost that I have slain hundreds of Dragons, Demons and Devils, but never the less I can not deny the truth to the words. As a blacksmith my quality is the finest in Lomar and many can attest to my ability and skill. I was trained and served as squire to the Halfling lord Pilgo Proudfoot.
I lay these humble skills at the ready of your order provided that I never feel compelled to act against the commands of my heart and conscience or any oath that I have previously given. Any service or skill I can provide, are at the ready of your order.
Beware the dark times that come ahead will challenge even the most innocent of hearts; you have a road ahead that will test your mettle in every way you can imagine.
