I think something is killing off some npcs in cities and other areas (not me; I swear). At first I noticed some (the horse trader outside of Port Atlon) of them missing but I am currently in Illium and there the corpses of the mercenaries are lying around.

It is possible but it could be random monster spawns that followed someone into to town. Our it could be a new player looking for new equipment. The henchmen do not drop anything. The server gets reset every three days. But i will keep an Eye out for it though
