I'd like to give a try and fluff up player housing.
Not sure where to start and how serious we all take the "aging" in this game. But as a player (not a character) i spend a lot of time around my home.
My aim is to create player housing in the fashion of their houses, musa lived in a tree, jahms has a 3 story building with a shed, Wiston lives in the royal city and thus a more upclass estate. I'd like to personalize it with things if the same character is using it a lot.
Maybe even change the namesign due to the residents changing perhaps ? (is chapters/guilds an option here ? Cus i will keep use of my house. )
And with the old houses like musa? or john pester ? why don't we open the doors of their houses and make a display with a back ground story. I can imagine Jahmulen passing on and leaving a legacy. There are plenty of doors in any city where i see the change of rearranging Jahmulen's house, and have a few standing of info in his house.

You talking about Stryphie and the tree house in Irveg? Well, whoever that home belongs to if they don't start paying their taxes soon Arakrull will have the person evicted and the place boarded up....

I think if you want to try to do something it is great idea... what ever it is...
For the most part posting on the vault got you a simple house... for more gold you could get something better... examples of this would be drakesdale aethiope andthe order of the skull. all of which had a million gold piece value.
Vicus Ayrie was a dm reward for an entire crew of people for an event.
Usually if someone wants to make their own special home I have no problem with it. for special items the cost is 20-25 times what the normal price is (for persistence).
so if you had a guard who was 2nd level that is like a 50 gold henchment so you would pay a 1000 gold for him. if he had plate male armor (1500gp) that would be another 30000. if he had a great sword (100 gp) that would cost 2000 gp so a second level fighter in plate with a great sword would cost 33000 gold to maintain. (it would be like the person puts a lump sum in the bank that pays for replacements.)

that basicly makes it useless to do right ? FOr Im playing a lvl 2 character making 10/100 bucks a night. My aim was a more flavoured experience, but the pricing is quite out of reach so ill pass

Sometimes I think back and I realize 'did I really do all that?!?!' (referring to making Arakrull's home)
That was a lot of work. Good thing I tried not to look at the big picture or none of it would be finished...

But how about the general idea of fluffing it up for all ? Cus it's not just me. Maybe we can think of something for new players too ? Starting of in a cave ending up in a palace kind of think all in all, ill look at it once i get the download link of karador

You talking about Stryphie and the tree house in Irveg? Well, whoever that home belongs to if they don't start paying their taxes soon Arakrull will have the person evicted and the place boarded up.... Musa's house is the tree looking tower in Intenwell Forest (North of Illium) which belongs to the character Caldor Rel'Fess (or something like that). Note to Indi: Wiston's home is now occasionally occupied by Momorphus'Rhaz (who happens to be inhabited by Wiston's soul - it's a long story and posted on the boards here somewhere). Eventually Momo will have little use for it once he finds a nice dry cave in the desert. I may utilize it later if (or when) Wiston's widow returns to Lomar (she'll be an NPC eventually for my DM sessions). I never played with the owner of Stryphie's character; but it's kind of a nice tribute to keep the properties of the original Karador players around as tribute. We wouldn't be here if it weren't for the old guard. But that's just me, I'm a nostalgia freak of sorts. Same goes for Vicus Ayrie, and some others. It's all part of the (mostly forgotten) history of Karador. Harkker probably knows a fair bit of it. But if you ever talk with Neg, maybe convince him to post a blurb or two about some of the founding players.

Vicus has three active players still orshad shalestien myself and skyhooker. But caldor wont be back ... He had the coolest storyline iever came with. I havent seen stryphe in years. Butthere are so many easter eggs why we change them unless it were plot driven. i have so much to do behind the scenes it would seem impossible to finish. But you know that already. I would work on this stuff more but i am only twenty percent done with the new content as it is for sunday. But any volunteers are welcome

The Housing for people are currently:
Jahmulen (indi) Illium John Prester Dups Kaldor Caldor Mocelritur Hilgar Tashi Talmore Wiston Stryphe Kyrian Lastel Witch ?
This is me orientating myself and needing some help explaining. As well as which people we should make a "memorative" housing for. (aka background and fluff)
If people can let me know a little bit about what they want to see changed about their housing i might be able to fiddle with it.
