Unlike the nametag on his door, Jahmulen (and not Jahmulun) resides in his humble house in the city of Illium. Considering himself a proud citizen of the kingdom of Lomar.
But as some already know Jahmulen is not a native soul to Lomar. Now in his late fifties, the human warrior stranded in port alton many years ago after a dreadful journey. Escaped prosecution of a crime he was guilty of but never with the motivation of a criminal. Jahmulen served his nation as a sergeant in the army in a land of the desserts. The nation was a peaceful one and only forced into war for defending their lands against invaders.
No matter how good the cause, the war seemed to be lost, powers shifted and a once beautiful kingdom lay in waste. Jahmulen, bittered by the outcome and losses, saw the opportunity to launch an attack against their oppressor. But with their forces decimated, and the leadership of what now seemed to be a rebel force reluctant to strike, the attack was called off. Still Jahmulen gathered a few of his trusted comrades to strike their new King in the hopes to turn the tide.
The strike was executed in secrecy. Where Jahmulen and a handfull of veterans fought their way through the Palace. Sadly, the opposition was too overwhelming and with the lack of backup of a few hundred of his own, the whole operation was a waste. The result was more of Jahmulen´s people dead without gaining anything. Heavily wounded the remaining men returned only to be met by their own and taken prisoner for dishonoring orders.
After weeks on end in a dark damp cell, Jahmulen slowly recovered from his wounds only to be found guilty of treason and a gallow would await him next sunrise. But to Jahmulen´s luck not every man that stayed behind not to fight was of the opinion that he did wrong. With little effort it was made possible for him to escape with the little gear and goods he had been given by some. Only to find himself on a boat with a destination unknown to him at the time.
Still, a happy man in Illium, there are still days where Jahmulen wonders if the Gallow wasn´t a better punishment for his acts than to be banished from something he loves so much and never to be seen again.
