Hey all, So I have been thinking about some of the things that are just not right since we brought in the prc and the new hak. I want to get opinions on where I should build next.
Such as man and monster.
As it is right now every goes to the shores of your homeland. It is a nice place, but if you were playing a kobold, why would you ever leave? Would the kingdom of lomar let in monsters? Likewise for evil Drow, why would the kingdom allow them to arrive by boat? Also the shores of their homeland should be a cave?
So what do you think is the best and quickest way to fix this?
Should I make a second homeland for monster races and those that would be evil? and should it take you to the the city of the lord enslaver? The city of the lord enslaver has any number of monsters in it. it is a city and I could develope new module conversions for that area. I could add temples and stores and generally fill out the underdark.

Asabi, Baaz draconian, Bugbear, bozak, chaond,Dark dwarf, deep halfling, dragonkin, drider, drow, duergar, frostblood orc, gnoll, gnome, goblin, gray orc, half drow, hobgoblin, Illithid, Kapak, Kobold, krynn half ogre Krynn minotaur, lizardfolk, Minotaur, Naztharune Rakshasa, Neraph, Ogre, Orc, Orog, poison dusk lizardfolk, pterran, sunscorch hobgoblin,svirfneblin, Tanarukk, Troglodyte, troll, vile tooth lizardfolk, wemic, zakya rakshasa black dragons, blue dragons, red dragons, white dragons, green dragons.
You would not start in the shores of your homeland but rather the caves of you homeland. The caves of your homeland would have all that the shores would have in its own way. But it would only take you to the underdark. Your racial faction would be friendly to you as would those who like your race. Lomarian factions would dislike you from the start.
In the underdark I may place a captured lomarian noble who needs his daughter to be taken to the kingdom of lomar as a quest. if the quest is completed than the player becomes a citizen of the kingdom of lomar and will no longer be welcome in the underdark or his people the same way. From that point on you still start in the caves of your homeland but you have the option of travelling to lomar proper.
The other nice thing about this is that the content that I build in the underdark of course will be more a challenge and fit the uber power builds of those races. For those that have surface races there would be no change.
The underdark is a distance away from the city of the lord enslaver. as such we would avoid evil characters attacking the forts of the world. I would have to make fort soliders respawn and also level up so that they could meet a challenged attack. It would take some scripting but really the hard part would be making the caves and revamping the lord enslavers home.
what do you think? worth looking into? or is there a better way?
