I am going to post this here, so others can put their feedback into as well. I might try to post screens or other downloads for the builders to test things out whilst in dev. Some of these are just things I want to work on and may not make it into Karador if Harkker says no =)
1. Dragons - True Flying pheno's and modify animation, fix breath weapon direction and collision mesh on smaller ones, maybe tweak a couple of the models.
2. New, Dynamic, mixed, or otherwise improved models for the following: Yuan-Ti Ogre Mage/Irda? Rakshasa Drider Gnoll others at the request of builders/popular vote
3. New animal shapes for druids/shifter(pnp) This would be mostly script/2da changes and creating creature blueprints in toolset to improve the current PRC list. However I want to add a few new animal shapes also (such as underwater ones in prep for possible new underwater zones in Karador)
The jist of it is making animal forms that have some purpose and gain more usefulness as you level. Birds for example are really good travel forms, not great for combat. Druids in PnP are supposed to be able to become any non magical animal, and should gain their benefits.
Mammoth, elephant, or rhino - (models exist but needs retextured for sure) - Mammoth possibly has small cold resist, all have high str/con (excellent tank forms) Eagle, hawk, other birds - major Jump bonus, spot bonus, faster movement, based on Wis? or level Cheetah - Fast speed limited uses Shark, fish, crab - water breathing, fast speed underwater for fish. Sea Turtle, Dolphin, Orca - limited waterbreathing, movement increase underwater for dolphin/orca. (Turtle has decent model, dolphins - redone, orca - create Mouse - harmless invisibility Suggestions?
4. Change Mindblades for Soul knife - this is just a personal change I'd like to make. Mindblades should look like pure energy, IMO, not a metal blade with vfx. This just requires creating new blueprint using existing CEP resources, and small script change in PRC. I have already done this for the OC, just need to get into next hak. If permitted. Someday I want to make a convo-menu that you can choose your color, vfx, etc
5. Elf head with spiky hair - changed texture to have facial tatoos. Already done just needs to get into next hak. This is specifically for one of my character (see avatar pic), but others may like it too.
6. Some new Stave models
7. Claw Weapon models.
8. Elvin Thinblades - wont finesse properly. Script/2da change. This is just another thing I am interested in getting fixed because I have characters that use them, not a huge priority.

I'm liking the mindblade options especially the color choosing ability.

we could add druid feats for more shifting... That would be a cool option plus it would allow me chance to give water breathing creatures the right waterbreathing feats....
I will have to think on this for a bit.

Sting- The choosing menu might be a ways away on that, but I will post some screens of cool looking combinations of blades (the CEP lightsaber looking ones) plus vfx and maybe people (that care) could vote on what they like best for the first version. In the meantime you could create a short sword in the toolset and see for yourself. Currently the prc mindblades are a short sword with vfx dependant on your alignment... Good = holy, neutral = sonic, and evil = evil/vorpal. I was also someday wanting to make them actually come out of the hand parallel to the forearm (like the Protoss if you've ever played Starcraft, or wolverine's claws) at least for the short sword version. Thats alot of animation issues though.
Harkker- as far as feats to unlock new shapes I think thats a good way to balance it. I was going to use wisdom only as the factor for both unlocking and how well they work (speed, strength of some abilities, etc) but maybe wisdom would just be the req for the feat. Maybe a druid with no additional feats could use basic shapes in each category- for example one could shift into a fish, but not a dolphin.
As far as gaining each creature's benefits I thought if we made up new blueprints for each one we wanted, complete with the feats, abilities, movement speeds, etc and then added or changed on the PRC 2da you could shift into it complete with those features. For example If i use the prc menu to set my NWN badger form radial into a falcon, and I shift into, then I gain either the knockdown or power attack feat (I forget which). That is absolutely ridiculous... we could change that to say some sort of speed increase, flight, etc. that make more sense for a bird, on the blueprint.
I'll start making a list of the animals and their feats, stats, etc, that I was thinking, and you can change whatever. I know the toolset enough to make new creatures and can start creating them once you give the go ahead.

Here's an example of what I want to do with the mindblades. The right hands are with the CEP "lightsaber" model. The left hands are the vfx only with no blade. I tend to like the left hand ones better as the right looks too much like lightsabers. Once again this is an example, it can be switched around with different combos of blade and vfx. Possibly recolored vfx too...make the lightning one purple or the holy one green, but that would take more time.

Yeah, my character has the vibro blade and when he throws it, it takes a second as he switches out the sword for a throwing axe then throws the axe. It's like a 3 step process just to get it on its way in the air. She has also upgraded to the longsword/bastard sword option too if I choose to use them.

This is a rough outline of some of my ideas for animal shapes enhancement. Some of these will have to be play tested a bit. The goal is to add more variety, utility, and RP options. Outside of NwN druids become all kinds of animals for different reasons, not just a bear or wolf everytime because it gives them combat stats. My biggest focus is on adding more birds (and overall travel shapes) and underwater shapes.
All shapes: Give more specified classes, or roles, atleast to special ones. Some stats increase as level or wisdom increase.
* - Gains this shape once they reach the level for current dire shapes. (12 i think) ** - denotes special that would require additional feats or requirements RP- Roleplay shape only, no real utility
Bears: (tank class, Barbarian?) knockdown, power attack, maybe rage. Brown - as is
*Polar - less strength, more dex than brown, resist cold **Grizzly - Higher attack rating than others, improved crit?
Cats: (Rogue) - add dark vision? finesse, agile athlete feat (dex instead of str for jump)? dodge/mobility? Stealth skills high. Panther - as is
*Tiger - (two color choice) Higher str, lower dex, combat feat *Lion - Higher str, and nat AC, combat feat, some sort of morale feat/aura maybe **Crag - Cold resist, ++jump **Cheetah - Higher Dex, less str/con. +speed (only in shorter bursts?) RP- Cat
Wolves: (monk? ult. ranger? bard with no spells?) - increase listen skill/search(smell)? lowlight vis? small speed increase? Wolf - as is
*Pack leader - (possible diff colors) better stats than normal wolf, special feat (will have to figure out one that is wolf-like) **Arctic - +resist cold RP- Dog
Boars/pachyderms: (class?) fortitude increase? Boar - as is Horse - speed increase
*Rhino - higher str/con. nat armor, imp Knockdown, imp power attack, great/dev crit? **Mastodon - same as rhino but slightly higher str, cold resist. RP- Stag
Badgers/rodents: (Defender?) expertise feat? Badger - as is, resistant to fear?
**mouse - Extreme dex, poor str/con, hide in plain sight? *Wolverine - better badger **Bat - +dex +jump +listen, and Blindsense. Daytime penalties like drow. RP- Rat, rabbit
Birds: (scout - better movement speed, and better ac and attack when moving, Hide in plain sight at higher level (simulates flying high in the sky) higher spot skill, awareness feat, Max jump Sparrow - low str, con. High Dex.
*Hawk, falcon, raven - better str/con, slightly lower dex. Awesome spot skill. **Eagle - even better str/con, slighter lower dex. awesome spot, some combat feats. **Owl - Same as hawk, but with darkvision, +listen also. Daytime penalties. **Penguin - non-permanent water breathing, resist cold, faster underwater, slower on land.
Underwater: All are underwater only, except maybe turtle and croc Fish - permanent waterbreathing, increased speed, low stats Turtle - Duration based waterbreathing, Higher nat AC, slow on land
*Crocodile - Duration based waterbreathing, slow on land, a couple of melee feats *Shark - Fish with better ability scores, attack, melee feats **Dolphin - Duration based water breathing, increase speed, +jump (simulate jumping out of water), Int based feats like insightful reflex? **Orca - Same as dolphin, +cold resist(they live in arctic waters), different stats
One other possibility is for Legendary animals of each type unlockable with a high level feat... giving a different option than dragon shape that is more druid like IMO.
Let me know your thoughts...especially if you've played a druid, shifter, etc

Really the question with this is the same I have the with the Hengeyokai... is that they should have some sort of ability like sanctuary where other creates will ignore some of the lesser ones. I just don't know how to simulate that... a racoon is not going to be bother by 90% of things out there

good point... some of the current prc shapes have the "harmless invisiblity" feat. But yeah sanctuary would work too. Some of the RP shapes, and smaller shapes like a sparrow, badger, fish, etc might fit that mold
