I will have the server up tonight. Sorry everyone who wanted to play the last few weeks.
If the server goes down, send an EMAIL to the newly updated address on my profile (you have to be a member of the board to see it) I have that address on my phone and will see it a lot sooner than I will see a message or post here.
If I am not actively playing at least once a week (which I haven't been able to lately) I will not likely realize its down as I wont be checking this site either. Thanks and once again sorry to those wanting to play. This doesn't happen super often but it may from time to time (usually not down 3 weeks either  )

I hope so. I enjoy the server very much and I look forward to continuing Rango's adventures in the world of Karador. Perhaps paying a server company to keep it running would be good? I would invest in it if money would be a problem. While I would say that would be awesome to get a professional server to run it on I think it might be a headache logistically to maintain some kind of donation or payment system, to keep it paid. The problem is most people that join play for a few months and then go about on other journeys to other lands. Plus I think some of the long time players kind of enjoy that its free. It might end up getting shut off for good or deleted if the bill stopped getting paid once people may have lost interest. However on the flip side, if I were to die or my house burns down the server would probably be lost to everyone. A paid server could live on as long as someone was there to pass the login torch to.
All in all, its not really my call... I am open to what ever the majority wants.
I am pretty much just a safe keeper of the world, not one of the Gods who brought it into being... I merely maintain the Prime Material Plane that is the old laptop in my basement

Funny thing about back ups... My computer just went belly up. I lost everything... The haks the music, my tools, my data... I am in the slow process of recovery. So um yeah.

If you need something that I might have, let me know. My C: hard drive was crashing but I did recover a lot of it when I set it up as a USB network drive. I'm still in the process of setting up my main PC but I should have everything I had before.

That's a good question. It vanished from the server list for the 2nd time this year. I sent info a couple of times to that list company to get it reinstated the 1st time it vanished but it seems to go down for long stretches making it hard for anyone new to take interest.
